5 Years of Dyspraxia Blogging
This month marks the fifth anniversary of DyspraxicFantastic going live; it has been quite the adventure so far. I can’t believe it’s been over half a decade since I started it all off! Hasn’t been a smooth trip in any sense of the word, but each obstacle has made me stronger. Hopefully, the next 5 years plus will just as good, if not, better!
DyspraxicFantastic has been viewed by over 25,000 unique visitors so far – which I’m really thrilled about! When I set out to do this blog my aim was to reach as many people as possible to spread the awareness of Dyspraxia & DCD. Many thanks for your ongoing support, without you, I’ll be just talking to myself.
I’m trying to be more active with my blog and have had a few ideas recently for posts. There are a couple more posts in the pipeline, which I’m hoping to finalise and release soon. If you have any ideas of what you’ll like to see on this site then please let me know and I’ll see what I can cook up.
Original Concept Design
While digging through the archive folder for my blog I came across the original design idea on how I wanted my DyspraxicFantastic to look. Back then I had the idea of a red and blue colour scheme, links down the left-hand side, and user-control options at the top.
When it came to creating the blog I found the red too intense and it clashed with the calm blue. Orange for me was a better choice, mixing the happy warm colour of yellow with the passion colour of red. The WordPress theme I settled on had links on the right-hand-side instead of the left, but I felt that it worked best. It took a couple of more years but finally, I got the user-control options.
Many thanks once again and see you next post.
