The Holiday Season. With it brings the very good…and the very bad. Myself personally I live on the outskirts of the city centre – which around this time I appreciate to the fullest. Yesterday I ventured into the City Centre after my work shift to get some crafting card, Christmas cards and research into some Christmas gifts.
Anxiety Strikes Again!
Personally, I’m not sure entirely, but am convinced that this year whoever organised the Christmas lights went over the top. It seemed everywhere I looked was glaring, sometimes flickering, lights. Plus there were carnival rides, each one equipped with their own spinning bright lights of their very own.
Yesterday I ventured into the City Centre after my work shift to get some crafting card, Christmas cards and research into some Christmas gifts. An easy task, which I had planned out in my mind several hours in advance and had a system planned. I have done similar tasks in the past without a problem.
Personally, and I’m not sure entirely, but am convinced that this year whoever organised the Christmas lights went over the top. It seemed everywhere I looked was glaring, sometimes flickering and flashing, lights. Plus there were carnival rides, each one equipped with bright, spinning lights of their very own. This over-the-top lighting, combo’d with the overflowing crowd got to me and starting to eat away at my mentality. After an hour or two, I had gone from having enough energy to tackle anything to nothing. By the time I got home I was physically and mentally aching and on verge of meltdown.
